The Heuristic Redefiniton process is well defined in King B./ Schliscksupp H.: The idea edge (1998). In short, this method starts with the elements and parameters of a system to challenge systematically their potential contribution to solve the problem. For instance, if the problem is: how to ensure that the plants in a garden get enough water to grow? The problem restatment would start with the element "plant stem" and the question: how can we ensure that the plant absorbs enough water? A next question could be: how can we ensure that falling rain will be stored close to the roots? a.s.o. As a whole, the Heuristic Redefinition process helps mainly to view a problem from many directions.
