Qualifications: - The applicant should have a BS or MS degree in science or engineering with 10+ years of experience in Consumer Packaged Goods or related industries.
- Demonstrated skills in developing a new initiative; creating a compelling vision, actionable strategies and effective implementation.
- Experienced in technical leadership, analytical and creative technical problem solving, adaptability, decision making, communications, and team dynamics.
- Demonstrated ability to align and influence both working team and the senior leadership team.
- Experienced Facilitator.
- Awareness of widely-used technical problem solving strategies, methods, and tools.
- Linked to an established network of internal and external technical problem solving subject matter (content) and process experts.
- Good computer skills utilizing office and project management tools are also valuable.
Accountabilities: - Create and implement a technical problem solving catalyst team for the R&D community.
- Vision, Strategy and Tactics
- Team Formation and Leadership; recruit, train, and retain technical problem solving team members.
- Budget management
- Client development strategy and implementation
- Partnership development across other key initiatives.
- Create the R&D's custom technical problem solving approach.
- Framework development
- Proposals (scope)
- Custom solution design (problem, solution, team, context)
- Stakeholder alignment
- Cross divisional/functional solution finding
- Effective external challenge statements to enable optimal solution finding
- Superior execution
- Tool assessment and selection
- Develop an implementation plan for deploying technical problem solving within R&D.
- Design facilitation, consulting, and training strategies to apply technical problem solving to R&D problems.
- Create team assignments (technical problem solving team members and Client team) to support implementation strategies.
- Participate in and lead a program from initial phase to full deployment.
- Lead Technical Problem Solving External Benchmarking initiative to accelerate learning curve.
